Python Job: Junior Developer

ZippedScript is a fast growing venture-backed startup seeking a motivated Junior Python Developer to help us build out a suite of tools in the identity and credential verification space. As an important member of our development team, you will work with a team of verifications team developers to expand our current capabilities. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently to solve problems under the direction of a lead developer.

Required Skills & Experience

• If you don't have work experience but know you have the skills below & are a fast learner, apply!
• Proficient in python with a focus on extracting information from HTML and other sources such as PDF – Selenium | Beautiful Soup | OCR (e.g., Textract, PDFMiner)
• Proficient with RDBMS and writing SQL queries – MySQL | PostgreSQL |SQLAlchemy
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Nice To Have Skills & Experience

• Experience in cloud deployment – AWS (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3) | Google Cloud | Azure
• Understanding of popular API and web frameworks – Flask | FastAPI
• Understanding of industry-standard best practices such as design patterns, coding standards, testing, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
